I don’t make money on my blog and I won’t pay for content from anyone.
And no, you do not have to commit to anything beyond agreeing to these terms. If you only want to post on Memee’s Musing’s once, that’s perfectly acceptable. If you want to submit on multiple occasions that is fine too. It is however my blog and I do not intend to have co-authors on this site other than as a guest blogger referred to as Sunday Callers with postings primarily publishing on Sundays.
Credit is always given where credit is due. Therefore, authorship credit will remain intact and prominently displayed with your work(s) for the life of each post. Additionally, each individual post will provide a link back to either your contact info or primary website… it’s up to you. You must provide the link you specifically want to use (unless we come to some other written agreement).
With regard to the link you furnish me, it is your responsibility to maintain the link in working order. If my readers inform me, or I find that the link has become dead, I have the right to de-emphasize the link while maintaining the authorship and website accreditation as it was at time of submission. If you change the link URL it is your responsibility to update me so I can keep your link active on my blog. Just email me and I’m happy to do the necessary update. I agree to maintain my email, email@example.com for the life of Memee’s Musings as part of this contract.
I have the right to keep the agreed upon post(s) on Memee’s Musings indefinitely or remove them at my own discretion. All posts to Memee’s Musings may be distributed to subscribers and followers through automatic publishing to media sites such as, but not limited to, Twitter, as an example. Your authorship, website, and links remain on the post, however, B.L. Memee has no control over and is not responsible for how other platforms process and display your posts as a result of their functionality and demographics. I cannot utilize, manipulate, or publish your work offsite for purposes beyond those mentioned herein and without your express written consent.
Posts addressing mental health issues and awareness may, at Memee’s discretion, also be published to Letters to the Mind blog, an exclusively mental health awareness blog inclusive of all which was originated by Jade Moore of Great Britain and maintained by she and I. As such, it’s contributors and readers all have one thing in common, mental illness. Ms. Moore is held harmless to all posts related to this agreement between you, the Sunday Caller, and I, B.L. Memee writer and publisher of Memee’s Musings. Letters to the Mind is a separate endeavor from Memee’s Musings and holds no stake in it, the content, or what is done with it. Your mental health awareness posts may be published on either site on dates selected by publisher, which means it may appear on one prior to the other and, in regard to Letters to the Mind, it may also appear on a day other than Sunday.
Letters to the Mind has it’s own submission guidelines, separate and apart from this one, for that reason, if you do choose to submit material regarding mental health I may email you in regards to obtaining further information and permissions, working directly with you to make the process a smooth and easy team effort. Letters to the Mind is a project where individuals whose lives are impacted by mental health issues write to and about their mental illnesses to help raise awareness and change the impact of stigma experienced throughout the world. Writers wishing to guest blog on subjects other than mental illness will not have their work requested for or distributed to or by Letters of the Mind and will not be published beyond the terms of this specific Disclaimer for Sunday Callers.
I do not own your material and therefore I cannot sell it or trade it or give it away. I am however entitled to add an image(s) of my choosing for use on Memee’s Musings to conform with the look of my brand. I may in rare times feel the need to reject accompanying media. In the unlikely event that this arises, I will contact you via email prior to publishing to explain the reason for rejection. I am not obligated to request your permission in any and all image selection processes nor am I obligated to use an alternative image provided by you, though I will in all occurrences take your alternative image/media under consideration. And though I hold this right to decline accompanying images and media, I recognize it is your piece and give priority to your choices regardless of obligations and subject to licensing.
I am solely responsible for the legal use of any and all images/media that I personally select for posts on Memee’s Musings. However if you provide the media, you retain legal responsibility for its use and Memee’s Musings, B.L. Memee, individually, are held harmless from their use.
