Out of crises comes beauty! I am a mental health blogger sharing my thoughts on life, death, and the world around me, striving to raise awareness and advocate for those not yet ready to have their voices heard. I can be found to varying degrees on WordPress, Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, BlogHer, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Google+, Unsplash, Instagram, and Medium. I am a stream-of-consciousness writer, but don't let that give you hesitation in following me. What I mean by "stream-of-consciousness writer" is that I write what is on my mind at that given moment. I do not plan the direction my posts will take nor do I have an inkling of what my short stories are about, they just manifest as I write them. For me, writing a story is the same as reading a book -- relaxing, fun, and exciting! The only exception to this way of writing is poetry. Poetry does not come easily, it does not flow out like a story does. I have to work at it and it is rarely fun or relaxing and is certainly never exciting. I am new to being "a writer" as I have spent most of my life being the "editor" to other people's stories, books, screenplays, and blogs. And I am loving this new role as the creator. For the short stories I am still struggling with coming up with the beginnings... how does a person get that initial spark of creative inspiration? I don't know. I am very proud of the stories I have written and will continue to enjoy learning and developing this gift I seem to have but was unaware of until Memee's Musings came into my life. Thank you for stopping by! Memee
