Happy Hallowersary!

You say po-tay-toe; I say po-tah-toe. You say to-may-toe; I say to-mah-toe. You say Happy Halloween and I say Happy Anniversary! Why? Because it is Memee’s Musings first year anniversary! Yay to me for making it this far, right?!

Sometimes merging two things into one can be very cool. I think it is cool that my blogging anniversary is on Halloween. Do you know what else is cool? The TomTato plant AKA Ketchup ‘n’ Fries™ plant. That’s right, if you’ve never heard about it before you’re hearing it here. Tomatoes and potatoes growing from the same bush.

But enough about that frankenfurter monster, more about Memee! I always enjoy Halloween. I think it is because kids and adults alike get to dress up and pretend to be someone else and just hang out together without the restrictions of age getting between us as we eat silly spooky foods and play competitive games together at Halloween parties. Or at least that’s what our family does each year.

This year I am missing our annual party and all of my friends because I moved away from my group. But, never fear, I enjoyed 2 Halloween parties down here in my new stomping grounds.

Anyway, I wanted to say thank you to all of my Minions, old and new, who continue to stop by and read, like, encourage and comment on my thoughts. The world is not so lonely when bloggers around the world stop by to read and visit.

I have come far from the beginning when I started this as a means of overcoming personal tragedy. I am stronger and healthier now then I was a year ago and you all helped me to get here. If I hadn’t of started this blog I don’t know what direction my life would have taken. I cannot say my blog has gotten better with time, in fact I know I am not writing as consistently as I was last year and I don’t really think my thoughts are as deep or compelling as they were in 2014, but I’m still having fun and chug-chug-chugging along with it.

I imagine blogging is like being in a relationship, it has its ups and downs. I’ve made it through year one. Now, on to year two! My personal favorites about my blog are the poetry linky parties I put on each month and then when I have the inspiration a little bit of flash fiction emerges (and all of my stories thrill me to no end!)
